I am very disappointed I paid extra for photos. First of all I saw 2 people taking photos and the second person wasn't taking photos both times I went past her. Her camera was just aimed at the ground while she took a break or something. Secondly the race was DAYS ago and still no photos up. NOT that I think they got very many but I still wanted to check them out. I thought the paying extra for all the photos was a great idea but won't do it again.

It seems like there is a definite lack of setting expectations for photos. How many photographers will be on the course (expected location would also be nice) and when photos when be available (within 1 week, within 2 weeks?).Unless the photos are amazing, when they eventually become available, I will probably not be willing to pay again unless expectations are set upfront.

Very fun and well run but one of the most expensive races. Over $100 for a short race at IM prices you'd think they would spring for the photography and not try to upcharge

When it takes a week or even more, we dont know when they will be available, it is definite sign that something went wrong and they are trying to figure out. Last year in a race in OC, we learned that one camera person never showed up and had barely 1 photo from the race for me. We found out after a week of "photos coming up sign" similar to this. Rock n Roll races expensive too but you get to see your photos almost instantly and photos are a big deal, because maybe many of us do this only once or twice and we might not be able to repeat the same real photo of ours in a fake posing setting. If this is called whining, yes we should whine for the service we paid for it. It will increase the service quality for future ones. Called "feedback!"

I think you should be allowed to purchase photos afterwards, as well. Because it sounds like sometimes the photographers don't even capture that many photos, and then you're stuck paying for pictures you don't get.

Yeah I didn’t even get pics of me on the bike. The photographer must’ve been looking the other way each time i passed him (or her) 4 times...😒

HAHAHAHA Just got the pictures in an email. They are so bad they are hilarious. I literally laughed out loud. Glad I had my dad running around getting great photos and videos of me throughout the race.

Just got the pictures and there aren’t even a lot... we’ll I guess I learned my lesson. Don’t pay for photos prior to the race .

Wow there are only a handful of photos of myself, and they are all crappy! It looks like they only took photos of the first few heats for swimming, hardly any running photos, and the cycling photos are shit. They should have taken photos of all of the swimming heats while we were waiting in the water for our floating starts. At least that would’ve given everyone a swimming photo. I’ve done a triathlon before and the photos were pretty decent, but this time, I’m extremely unsatisfied.

Definitely agree! Had only 2 photos in 2 hours of race and finish photo all blurry and pale. Very dissatisfied. This is not the first time though. Endurance Photos did the same before and not sure if they just handout the camera to anybody and they just take whatever. It would be a serious reason not to take part in races partnering with Endurance Photos until they really do the service they are committed to. Comments are closed.
