Ride the bridge, Bike the Bay! On Sunday, August 28, 2016 cruise around the San Diego Bay and enjoy your only opportunity to ride across the San Diego Coronado Bay Bridge. This non-competitive community bike ride is for riders of all abilities and will take you on a scenic, and primarily flat ride, around the San Diego Bay via the Bayshore Bikeway. Along the way, riders will travel through the surrounding cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach, Chula Vista and National City before finishing back at the start/finish line at Embarcadero Marina Park in downtown San Diego.

The Chula Vista Challenge (CVC) in its 6th year is proud to announce a new partnership with KOZ Events, San Diego's premier endurance event producers and Pulse Endurance Sports. Expect new routes and a fresh new race experience for individuals and relay teams, with 10 races to choose from including International, Sprint, & Youth Triathlons, Duathlon, Aqua Bike.
NEW HALF DISTANCE TRIATHLON! 70.3 MILES The 70.3 Mile HALF DISTANCE course deemed The CVC SAN DIEGO HALF, will provide San Diego triathletes as well as regional, national and international athletes a chance to compete in a longer endurance event. Triathlon Course
500 meter swim off of ACU-5 Camp Pendleton with an average water temperature of 68 degrees. The out and back 30K bike ride leaves ACU-5, follows Stuart Mesa Road North, and continues east to a turnaround point on Las Pulgas Road-moderate hills throughout. THE BIKE PORTION IS A CLOSED COURSE. The 5K run is a loop course through ACU-5. This run is flat and fast with a few easy inclines. Aid Stations will be located at the transition area, at the bike turnaround and every mile on the run course. Aid Stations are located at the transition area, at the bike turnaround and every mile on the run course. 7K No Beach Out of Reach Run Course (non-competitive) The 7K No Beach Out of Reach Run begins with a 2K out and back beach run then continues with the same 5K run as the Triathlon and Duathlon which is a loop course through ACU-5. This run is flat and fast on the flight deck of ACU-5. Aid Stations will be located at the end of the beach run, and every mile on the 5K run course. This is a non-competitive/non-award race. Just for FUN! Duathlon Course Duathlon begins with a 2K out and back beach run. The bike course and run course follow the same route as the triathlon. The Balboa 8 Miler is the longest consecutively run race in San Diego and the only one that offers a full tour of Balboa Park!
The race starts and finishes at the Pan American Plaza, located near the San Diego Hall of Champions. 8 mile participants enjoy a unique and challenging route through Balboa Park’s scenic trails, bridges and windy roads. Every participant receives a 50/50 blend event t-shirt and a custom finisher’s medal! New for 2016 – the Tour de Big Bear Hors Catégorie division event. A unique cycling event offered only to the fittest of the fit. A limited number of spaces will be available for the HC portion of the Tour de Big Bear. All at an altitude between 6,000 and 8,500 feet with some of the best scenery California has to offer. Competition elements include King/Queen of the Mountain, HC Points Competition and awards for podium winners. Tour de Big Bear is pleased to invite you to Southern California’s most scenic and challenging high altitude ride in Big Bear Lake.
