It's a parade for all to enjoy, so come dressed in you colorful costumes and masks, and have a ball! The Citrus Heritage Run is celebrating our 6th year anniversary. The Riverside Road Runners highly recommend this fun and scenic course as a great tune up race for 2015. Race distance includes 13.1, 5K and a 1 mile kids race for fun. All proceeds from the Citrus Heritage Run support Riverside-area student running programs and scholarships for local high school seniors. This includes free running shoes to Arlington and Ramona High School cross-country students, financial support of the 100-Mile Club, and scholarships for graduating seniors.
37 YEARS AND RUNNING...
This Signature Event takes place in Historic Downtown Riverside and is an Inland Empire Tradition! These courses wind through the historic parks, sites and neighborhoods of Riverside, making a picturesque event for runners and spectators alike. The Event kicks off on Saturday afternoon with the Clark's Health & Fitness Expo offering pre-registration, packet pick-up, live demonstrations, booths, and a bench press contest! On Sunday morning, Race Day continues with the Expo and a Finish Line Festival. Awards to the overall men and women in each race and to the top three male and female finishers in each age division. Families are encouraged to have their children participate in the 1/2K or 1K events, and have lots of fun at the Kids Fitness Festival! We hope you will join us in celebrating the 37th year of this fundraising event! We are very excited to bring a fast road mile to Encinitas, with various heats depending on your age and ability. There are opportunities virtually every weekend to run a 5K, 10K, or half marathon in the San Diego area, but you hardly ever get a chance to run a mile all-out!
