In my opinion, this years race was below expectations. The weather was very hot and dry and water supply was too far apart and few. Volunteers served 1/4 on small cups and you had to stop for a longer period in order to drink more water. Also, I feel the last 3.1 miles were very tough and had no visual attraction. Hopefully next year you can redesign the course and maybe add mileage in Coronado or before the end line

I totally agree with Antonio -- more water and more visual distractions would have been nice!!

Cathy - thank you for your feedback. We will work on making adjustments to the course water stations as well as adding additional entertainment on course. We unfortunately did have one of our bands not show up on race morning which did not help.

water stations were way too far apart. Also, I took an energy gel home and I notice that the expiration date was in March. maybe eliminate that incline after the 11.5 mile mark

John - Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that some expired product made its way onto course. We will work harder to ensure that does not happen again. We will also take a look at the course and see if there are changes that can be made to improve it.

Sooo Agree with you Antonio Vargas, I really hope they read this comments and react to it! Not a good idea to past the finish line and have to to come back! The excitement it taking away by then!

Marisela, we do read the comments and do our best to make improvements based upon the feedback we receive. Unfortunately the restrictions of the Navy base forced us to make changes to the course. Coronado has many restrictions on running through their city which may limit what we can actually do there.

Antonio - Thank you for your feedback. We will definitely do our best to better instruct the water stations volunteers to ensure there is adequate water on the course. In regards to the course route, we were forced to make changes to the course when they restricted access to the Navy base. We would love to put in more mileage on Coronado and will ask the city what our options are, however Coronado has many restrictions in terms of courses that run through their city that may limit what we are able to do.

There was not enough water stations, and it was very hot running towards the sun.

water is important to me, so I am glad the site owner is responding to these... Guess I will get a ticket and hope for the best. Comments are closed.
