Come out an enjoy the most scenic run in North East San Diego County! The Safari Park Half Marathon and 10k starts at the Westfield North County Mall; then the course meanders through the rural roads of Escondido, CA past ostrich farms, small herds of cattle and vineyards. Participants finish their run with a short jaunt amongst the animals of San Diego Zoo Safari Park.

Really well organized, fun yet challenging run. This was my first 10k! I can't wait to participate in the Safari run next year.

Very well organized event I traveled from Fresno, Ca for this event and really enjoyed myself TOUGH TOUGH COURSE AND THE HEAT DID NOT HELP. Loved the residential area where the residents got involved and one actually hooked up a water hose to spray us down. Was not impressed with the Aid a Runners sure they were helpful in spraying you down with pain spray but they were not very happy communicative people and the time it took for them to program into their phones the info took an additional4 minutes off your time :(. That is really my only complaint ( other than the not relieving a medal but not organizer fault and they at least gave us something as we'd wait for our medal) ALL IN ALL - LOVED IT AND WOULD DO IT AGAIN

Course was what I excepted. The finish area was bad. Very warm water and very warm power aide. Not good. Other than that. Had a good.time. wish the shuttles were closer. Maybe next year timeup the big dirt hill maybe keep people from.walking. ;) probably do it again.
