Front Runners & Walkers San Diego began an annual informal 5K run in Balboa Park during the late 80's. Over the years our run grew and in 2007 we held our first "official" Run & Stride with Pride. With the continued support of our amazing community, this event has grown to become one of the largest Pride Runs in the United States!
A key mission of the Front Runners & Walkers San Diego Pride 5K is to raise money for our charity partners: The San Diego Center's LGBT Youth Housing Project and Pride Community Grants. In 2016 alone, our nearly 1,000 participants enable a donation of $12,000 to these important community organizations
